How to book or cancel an appointment

You can either manage your appointments online with Patient Access, or give us a call.

Our phone lines are open between 8.30am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

For Clare House Surgery, call 01884 252337.

For Bampton Surgery, call 01398 331304.

Submit an online request

You can submit requests for non-urgent medical or admin queries online. Complete an online form in your own time, and let us decide on the best course of action for you. You may not need to come in for an appointment.

Your request will be reviewed by a member of the admin team within 2 working days, and will be triaged so that your query is dealt with by the most appropriate member of staff. This may not necessarily be a GP.

FAQs

How long are GP appointments?

Routine GP appointments last up to 15 minutes. If you have several issues to discuss with your GP or you would like to discuss a complex issue, you may prefer to book a double appointment.

Can I see someone before or after work, or at weekends?

Yes! We offer early morning GP appointments (7.30am - 8am) on Thursdays and evening GP appointments (6.30pm - 7.30pm) on Mondays and Tuesdays at your normal practice. In addition, we have partnered with South Western Ambulance Service to provide GP and nurse appointments to our patients at Tiverton Hospital Urgent Care Centre during weekday evenings and at weekends.

These appointments must be booked by phone. Please note that our phone lines are only open 8.30am - 6pm Monday to Friday.

I'm under 16, will you tell my parents that I came to see you?

We provide a confidential service to all our patients, including those aged 16 or under. This means we won't tell anyone about your visit without your permission (sometimes called 'consent').

The only time we would ever share information without your consent is if you or someone else could be in danger. We would always talk to you about this first.
