Tiverton Wellbeing is now running virtual groups and workshops, until it is safe to run them in person. We understand that things may be more difficult at the moment and we hope that our sessions help to connect you to others who might be in a similar situation to yourself, to have fun and help you to improve your wellbeing. We will be running the following groups:
- Quiz and catch up- Tiverton Wellbeing is running weekly online Quiz and chat group sessions for anyone who wants to meet new people and have fun. These sessions will be relaxed, friendly and are a great way to socialise with others. Each week, the quiz will be on a different topic- don’t worry if you feel you aren’t any good at quizzes, we encourage everyone to join! After the quiz, there will be an opportunity for everyone to have a chat and catch up afterwards. The sessions will be held every Monday 10-11am with the first session being held on Monday 7th September.
- Mindfulness and healthy lifestyles- These sessions are aimed at people who would like to improve their mood and health. The sessions will explore mindfulness, a technique that can improve mental wellbeing, and other simple ways we can improve how we feel and our health. Come along and find out how you can make simple changes to improve your wellbeing, particularly at the moment when things seem a little less normal. This is a good opportunity to connect with others who may be feeling something similar to you in a supportive and friendly environment. You do not need to have any previous experience in mindfulness to join in. The sessions will be held every Wednesday 10-11am with the first session being held on Wednesday 2nd September.
Our online sessions will be held over Zoom. If you haven’t used Zoom before, you can find a guide on using it here: https://devonrlc.co.uk/drlc_online/a-guide-to-zoom/.
