Welcome to Clare House Surgical & Dermatology
Part of Amicus Health
A £1.8 million investment in 2014 meant Clare House was able expand our available services. We are now able to perform minor surgeries in our purpose-built modern theatre, and offer specialist dermatology services in our fully equipped examination offices.
Clare House Surgical is happy to see and treat patients on the NHS for non-scalpel vasectomies and hand surgery to treat carpal tunnel syndrome. We also undertake the excision of suspected skin cancers and other skin lesions within North, East & West Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) approval processes.
Patients can be referred directly by their GP to see one of our doctors in much the same way as you would be referred to any other NHS clinic.
Some patients who are taking blood thinning medication such as warfarin or clopidogrel may need to stop this for a few days before surgery. However, it is important that you do not stop taking any medication unless requested to do so either by one of our clinicians or by your GP. Aspirin is not generally a problem and patients can continue to take this as normal.
